About TLC

Ian was Chief Executive at Wrexham County Borough Council for 6 years until 2024 overseeing the rise of 'Wrexham' and working with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. He has been a Local Government Director in England and Wales for over 20 years and was Chair of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (Wales) from 2021-23. Ian has also been a Director of both a large and small scale Social Enterprise. With a professional background in sport, leisure and culture Ian has coached, tutored and mentored players and coaches at a high level, he has then used this experience to inform his Executive Coaching and Mentoring. Ian is used to presenting and facilitating and in 2023 presented to over 1000 people in Syracuse New York State where he met the Allyn family who then invested over £350m in Wrexham.
